Stationary Docks
All waterfront shorelines pose a unique array of challenges and opportunities when transforming them into the landscape you desire. Viking Construction customizes each project to meet the clients expectations. Designing a structurally sound finished product that is built to last.
Viking Construction is well versed in Ministry of Natural Resources and Department of Fisheries and Oceans regulations, and will acquire all applicable permitting. Only naturally resilient, environmentally sound wood, such as Eastern Cedar, Hemlock, and Douglas Fir is used in the construction of our cribs and substructure. Locally produced Eastern White Cedar is our product of choice for decking and fascia, an economic alternative to Western Red Cedar or composite. We also work with new pressure treated products.
Floating Docks & Swim Rafts
Our trade mark floating docks are constructed with locally produced Eastern White Cedar. Natural preservatives in Cedar increase the longevity of our docks and minimize maintenance. Because Cedar does not need to be stained it is an environmentally friendly alternative for structures built on or around water. We also provide Western Red Cedar, Composite, and Pressure Treated decking options to meet the desired esthetic and economic needs of our clients.
All our floating systems are built to over winter in the water. We only use heavy duty galvanized hardware and foam filled float tanks to assure these components can stand the test of time.
